Dr. Tereza Brožová from the Laboratory of Heat and Flow Transmission Laboratory (FME BUT) participated in the competition Czech Energy and Ecological Project, Building, Innovation in 2017 (ČEEP 2017) and she won the prize of the general patron of the competition, the ENVIROS company, and the check for 30 thousand CZK. The jury appreciated her work called ‘Phase changes on heat exchanger surfaces with hollow fibers’ that was supervised by professor Miroslav Raudenský.

The total number of 627 students enrolled in the 16th year of the ČEEP competition with their work. ‘I decided to sign up for the competition because I believed that the heat exchangers consisting of polymeric hollow fibers are what the contestants are looking for – they are innovative, energy efficient, competitive and environmentally friendly. By winning the prize of the general patron, the perspective of heat exchangers with polymeric hollow fibers has only been confirmed. Last but not least, the work is also attractive because it was created in close cooperation with industry both domestic and foreign,’ said Tereza Brožová.

Besides Tereza Brožová, other BUT students also scored in the competition. The prize of the main patron of the competition, FENIX GROUP, and a check on 20 ths. CZK was received by Ing. Patrik Pinkoš from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication Technology for Extended Use of Battery Systems in Industrial Objects. The prize of the main patron of the competition, Penta Real Estate, and a check for 15 ths. Bc. Richard Kalny from the Faculty of Civil Engineering.
